It really takes a lot of reading really fast to keep up with this kind of challenge, sadly I am starting to drag a little bit already. My D book is Dark Hero by Lily Silver. Elizabeth is a survivor. Betrayed, kidnapped and left for dead, she awakens on a ship bound for the Indies, in the bed of a stranger claiming to be her husband. As she recovers from her ordeal, the gift of the seer emerges; the ability to see and speak with the dead. A descendant of druids, Elizabeth knows she must hide her strange gifts as her new husband could claim she's insane and commit her to a madhouse. Can she trust this Dark Hero her grandmother conjured from the Gothic romances Elizabeth once devoured?  Donovan survived betrayal, imprisonment and torture. Deception and subterfuge are the weapons used to keep people at a distance. Donovan’s penchant for deception and disguises may be his undoing when his bride awakens after her rescue and doesn't recognize him. As he struggles to rekind...

Three days into the Challenge and we are doing good so far.  Have you found any great new blogs yet? Today's book is another fabulous free on Kindle find City of Blaze by H. O. Charles. Fantasy Romance Epic. The city is crumbling beneath a mountain of its own indulgences. Its army abuse the castle's servants, confident that deadly wielders have been exterminated; wars are fought to encourage otherwise absent mortality; countless people suffer from the terrible pangs of nalka, the hunger for intimacy; and all the while its king concerns himself with choosing which of his disappointing concubines to execute next. The duty falls upon his emotionally withdrawn son, Morghiad, to restore the city's strength and the army's purpose. In his attempts to do so, he uncovers darker horrors and encounters a young servant who could either be his greatest ally or his greatest hindrance. City of Blaze is a story of changing allegiances, self-control and love. City of Bl...

For my B book I chose 'Becoming Us' by Amy Daws, I had originally gone with a different book but when I kept having to read the same page over and over because it wasn't registering I switched. The dreaded friend-zone...  The last place I ever want to be with college basketball God, Jake LaShae.  I am losing my mind trying to figure out what this gorgeous and confident man wants from me. I need to break through his walls. What is it about me that makes him not go there? What am I lacking?  When a mind-blowing betrayal knocks the wind out of me, and I think I can't feel any lower...Brody stumbles into my path—barefoot no less, and sexy as hell. His direct and mouth-watering swagger is a breath of fresh air. The feelings this man gives me are like nothing I've ever experienced.  But Brody has a past.  A past that makes it nearly impossible for him to trust me and let us become us in whatever capacity that may be.  Just when Brody and I tru...

My choice for my first review of the A to Z Challenge is Antler Dust: Antler Dust begins with a bang. Two bangs.  On the opening day of the hunting season in the Colorado Flat Tops wilderness, two men go missing.  The first is a hunting guide.  The second is an animal rights protester who believes his creative suicide will galvanize the animal rights movement.  Hunting guide Allison Coil hears a distant rifle shot and sees just enough through the swirling snow to believe somebody knows something-and isn't coming forward.  But what exactly did she see?  Outfitter George Grumley fends off the formal investigation and works to discourage the informal and persistent inquiries by Coil. Grumley knows no limits in the effort to protect his guide service, which caters to fat-cat clients.  Who needs hunting regulations when technology can produce the quickest and most thrilling hunt that money can buy?  Okay, Antler Dust is probably no...

Here we are at the end of March and I am not sure how we got here so fast.  It feels like this year so far has flown by and I don't know what I have done with my time at all in the last three months. Scary, scary. Tomorrow is a very important day, it is both the start of the A to Z Challenge and my 35th birthday.  I am probably more excited about the challenge this year than my birthday as I decided to read a book and review it for ever letter of the alphabet.  I am not quite done yet but well over half my posts are finished and scheduled which is the best position I have ever been in at this point in the challenge so I look forward to getting to relax and read lots of other blogs this year. My birthday I have mixed emotions about, I am not ready to turn 35, there are things I wanted to have done by now that I have not and I am really not okay with that.  There's been a whole lot of what am I doing with my life going on in the last few days.  The last year h...
