A to Z Challenge 2016: C

Three days into the Challenge and we are doing good so far.  Have you found any great new blogs yet?

Today's book is another fabulous free on Kindle find City of Blaze by H. O. Charles.

Fantasy Romance Epic.

The city is crumbling beneath a mountain of its own indulgences. Its army abuse the castle's servants, confident that deadly wielders have been exterminated; wars are fought to encourage otherwise absent mortality; countless people suffer from the terrible pangs of nalka, the hunger for intimacy; and all the while its king concerns himself with choosing which of his disappointing concubines to execute next. The duty falls upon his emotionally withdrawn son, Morghiad, to restore the city's strength and the army's purpose. In his attempts to do so, he uncovers darker horrors and encounters a young servant who could either be his greatest ally or his greatest hindrance.

City of Blaze is a story of changing allegiances, self-control and love.

City of Blaze was nothing like I expected, it was fascinating at every turn and I did not see the ending coming at all.  Super exciting book with so much going on that you never get bored and it's hard to put down for doing important stuff like eating.  A must read if you like high fantasy, which I am a huge fan of.  Not safe for the younger generation though, a wee bit naughty in places,

  4. I like your review of it and the fact it would not be good for younger readers. Not sure if it is in the genre of what I usually read but does sound interesting. Yes, I have found lots of blogs during the challenge I've enjoyed reading; too little time and too many blogs :)

enjoy the rest of the challenge!
