{I read Jamie Morrow's Currently every week and I always want to hop on board because it seems like such a fun way to keep you guys updated on the stuff going on in my life so here I am.}

Loving...

Spring, long walks, pen pal letters. Having a chance to write for a change, even if it is only a few words at a time.

Reading...

All the books...I got addicted to the Ava Delaney series by Claire Farrell and read through the six books in the original series in just over a week.  I look forward to starting the next series (and all the rest of Claire's books) as soon as I finish all the stuff on my to review pile.

Watching...

Mostly right now I am watching stuff that I won't really focus on while I craft, so a lot of 2 Broke Girls and Anger Management.

Listening To...

Random playlists on Google Play Music because I got bored of all my music.

Thinking About...

My good friend and I decided to collaborate on a children's book and I sent him the first half on the written work for him to illustrate and I am very anxious that he is going to tell me that it sucks.

Anticipating...

I am participating in a Love Your Inner Geek Swap this month and I am really excited for it.

Wishing...

Making Mac and Cheese

One of my favorite vegetables is butternut squash so when Chatelaine  posted this yummy looking recipe  for mac and cheese brimming with squash I immediately pinned it to make at a later time.  Now, before Pinterest  I am willing to admit, recipes got saved in my e-mail, but they never got made.  They just got lost in the shuffle; now they get neatly organized and displayed where I can go through them on a regular basis.  More importantly than that I can try them.   This recipe worked out well for me, I thought the cheese and squash tasted great together, the kids however did not agree.  They like their squash on the side, where they can control how much they ingest.  Next time I will definitely use less breadcrumbs though.

Spooktacular Giveaway Hop

When I was much younger than I am now, I loved nothing more that a good "spooky" story.  I spent many nights laying up in bed reading books that were designed to make your skin crawl and leave you with goose bumps. My personal favourite author for Young Adult Thrillers was and probably still is Christopher Pike.  Twenty years after reading his books some of them still stand out in my mind in perfect clarity.  The top one would be Remember Me. Something about Shari's story struck a chord with me that has echoed through the last twenty years, as any good book should I suppose. Sadly when I was a teenager I didn't hold on to as many books as I do now so I spend a lot of time hunting to replace the ones I really wish I had kept. (Sweet Valley High anyone?)
