There's nothing like something to look forward to celebrating every day.  Especially at this time of year when there's less daylight and you feel like the day is just dragging on.

November 1 is Plan Your Epitaph Day

November 2 is National Deviled Egg Day (deviled eggs are my favourite)

November 3 is Sandwich Day ( I had peanut butter, Yum!)

November 4 is Waiting For The Barbarians Day

November 5 is Gunpowder Day

November 6 is Saxophone Day (I played the Tenor Sax when I was in elementary school)

November 7 is National Bittersweet Chocolate With Almonds Day (Sadly I can't eat almonds) :(

November 8 is Dunce Day

November 9 is Chaos Never Dies Day

November 10 is Forget-Me-Not Day

November 11 is Air Day

November 12 is National Pizza With The Works Except Anchovies Day

November 13 is National Indian Pudding Day

November 14 is Operation Room Nurse Day (we should celebrate nurses everyday)

November 15 is National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day

November 16 is Button Day

November 17 is Take A Hike Day

November 18 is Occult Day

November 19 is Have A Bad Day Day

November 20 is Absurdity Day

November 21 is False Confessions Day (hmm...)

November 22 is Start Your Own Country Day (my country is Fairy Isle, what's yours?)

November 23 is National Cashew Day (I like mine honey roasted)

November 24 is Use Even If Seal Is Broken Day

November 25 is National Parfait Day

November 26 is Shopping Reminder Day (less than a month till Christmas)

November 27 is Pins And Needles Day

November 28 is Make Your Own Head Day

November 29 is Square Dance Day

November 30 is Stay At Home Because You're Well Day (I love this idea, I need a rest)

One of my favorite vegetables is butternut squash so when Chatelaine  posted this yummy looking recipe  for mac and cheese brimming with squash I immediately pinned it to make at a later time.  Now, before Pinterest  I am willing to admit, recipes got saved in my e-mail, but they never got made.  They just got lost in the shuffle; now they get neatly organized and displayed where I can go through them on a regular basis.  More importantly than that I can try them.   This recipe worked out well for me, I thought the cheese and squash tasted great together, the kids however did not agree.  They like their squash on the side, where they can control how much they ingest.  Next time I will definitely use less breadcrumbs though.

M is for Motherhood

This morning on my way to work I read this post from a YMC blogger and it got the wheels turning in my little brain.  First of all, why are people so mean to each other?  And second, the vast number of times I have want to set the  feral little animals  kids who call me mom at the end of the driveway with free to good home signs round their necks. The truth is though, in the moment, when there are a bottle full of snails loose in your apartment and sliming their way over everything while your son sleeps.
