Express Yourself: Childhood Aspirations

The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted Bouquet Of Books and Entertaining Interests.  I have been reading it for a while and I always want to jump in but I have been hesitant to bite off another thing to do right now.  

However there will never be a perfect time to do something, so I decided to just jump right in and figure it out as I went along.  The question this week is what did you want to be when you grew up?

The first thing I ever remember wanting to be was a doctor, my doctor when I was a kid was just the coolest woman and I wanted to be just like her.  Until the first time she gave me a needle and I discovered that doctors just like nurses have to give needles.  That just wasn't going to happen, I hate needles.

After that it was a succession of little kid ambitions mermaid, firefighter, princess and then I read A Wrinkle In Time.  Since that day I have wanted to be a writer and though there have been many bumps in the road I have every intention of getting there.

Though I must say now that I have hit "adulthood" I have absolutely no intention of growing up.
