Express Yourself: December 8-12, 2014


The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted Bouquet Of Books and Entertaining Interests.  This week's topic is: coffee, tea, soda... what's your fave beverage?

This is a hard one...choose between coffee and tea.  How can it possibly be done?  I am a huge fan of both.  Or addict, it depends on how you look at it.  Very rarely do I not have a cup of one or the other in hand, especially in these cold wintery months.

Overall though I would have to say tea is my favorite beverage.  There are just so many different kinds of teas that it's really the perfect drink for all occasions.  I've gotten to try some really fantastic teas lately thanks to the International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club and their tea swap.  Which of course also lets me share my favourite tea with others too.

    I love coffee, but there's this peachy mango tea that I tried once. It was delicious. I'd purchased a packet at a mom and pop shop out of town, so not sure where to find it here.

    Banned complain !! Complaining only causes life and mind become more severe. Enjoy the rhythm of the problems faced. No matter ga life, not a problem not learn, so enjoy it :)

One of my favorite vegetables is butternut squash so when Chatelaine  posted this yummy looking recipe  for mac and cheese brimming with squash I immediately pinned it to make at a later time.  Now, before Pinterest  I am willing to admit, recipes got saved in my e-mail, but they never got made.  They just got lost in the shuffle; now they get neatly organized and displayed where I can go through them on a regular basis.  More importantly than that I can try them.   This recipe worked out well for me, I thought the cheese and squash tasted great together, the kids however did not agree.  They like their squash on the side, where they can control how much they ingest.  Next time I will definitely use less breadcrumbs though.

M is for Motherhood

This morning on my way to work I read this post from a YMC blogger and it got the wheels turning in my little brain.  First of all, why are people so mean to each other?  And second, the vast number of times I have want to set the  feral little animals  kids who call me mom at the end of the driveway with free to good home signs round their necks. The truth is though, in the moment, when there are a bottle full of snails loose in your apartment and sliming their way over everything while your son sleeps.
