Bailey's Cat Toy

So, last year my friend adopted this super adorable cat, (cutest kitty ever) and just fell completely in love with her.  How could I not?  Look at her, she is just a big ball of fluff and love.

I came across this pattern on the hunt for a crochet cat to make for Cat (hmm, say that a few times and try not to feel nuts) who is naturally obsessed with cats.  (sitting on my lap write now meowing at Bailey's picture as I type).  I decided it was too small for her but that it would make a perfect toy for Bailey. 

I had some green scraps from a previous project stashed away and I thought this would be a great way to use it up.  It worked up fairly quickly (took me forever to sew it together for her) and I am very happy with it. 

I think I am going to make up some more of them, it just came out so cute.

    That's a hilarious picture of Bailey. The caption makes it really funny. Verte , Bailey's toy lives under to couch where Bailey spends alot of time and I have seen here nuzzling the little green animal. She and I thank you for making her a fine companion.

      I love that you named her toy, that is adorable. I feel that a pet (like a child) can not have too many toys. As long as they don't live in my house. ;)

    Banned complain !! Complaining only causes life and mind become more severe. Enjoy the rhythm of the problems faced. No matter ga life, not a problem not learn, so enjoy it :)

One of my favorite vegetables is butternut squash so when Chatelaine  posted this yummy looking recipe  for mac and cheese brimming with squash I immediately pinned it to make at a later time.  Now, before Pinterest  I am willing to admit, recipes got saved in my e-mail, but they never got made.  They just got lost in the shuffle; now they get neatly organized and displayed where I can go through them on a regular basis.  More importantly than that I can try them.   This recipe worked out well for me, I thought the cheese and squash tasted great together, the kids however did not agree.  They like their squash on the side, where they can control how much they ingest.  Next time I will definitely use less breadcrumbs though.

Spooktacular Giveaway Hop

When I was much younger than I am now, I loved nothing more that a good "spooky" story.  I spent many nights laying up in bed reading books that were designed to make your skin crawl and leave you with goose bumps. My personal favourite author for Young Adult Thrillers was and probably still is Christopher Pike.  Twenty years after reading his books some of them still stand out in my mind in perfect clarity.  The top one would be Remember Me. Something about Shari's story struck a chord with me that has echoed through the last twenty years, as any good book should I suppose. Sadly when I was a teenager I didn't hold on to as many books as I do now so I spend a lot of time hunting to replace the ones I really wish I had kept. (Sweet Valley High anyone?)
