A to Z Challenge: Z


Today is the last day of the Challenge, Yay!  Congratulations to everyone who made it through.  I am really excited to have made it to the end and look forward to next year.  I already have ideas for next years theme.

Zenith
Definition: the point above the observer that is directly opposite the nadir on the imaginary sphere against which celestial bodies appear to be projected.
Sentence: Zenith, the point in the celestial sphere directly overhead.

Zephyr
Definition: a slight wind (usually refreshing).

Zealous
Definition: marked by active interest and enthusiasm.
Sentence: "You are so willing and zealous; but for that very reason I must guard against your enthusiasm carrying you too far."

Zest
Definition: vigorous and enthusiastic enjoyment.
Sentence: So I pursued my studies with zest and unabated enthusiasm.

Zealot
Definition: a fervent and even militant proponent of something.
Sentence: Finally having conquered his irritable bowel syndrome, he worked out like a zealot all winter, adding about 17 pounds of solid muscle.
